Upcoming Public Shows

One of the most common questions we get is: when can we see you play?  While our calendar stays filled with shows most weekends, the majority of these are for private events (corporate parties, weddings, etc.) and we of course can't open these up to the public. But we do have a few public shows coming up in the next few weeks if you'd like to check us out!

 

• Thursday, June 30th, 9:00 PM - 12:30 AM: Grumpy Minnow in Stanchfield, MN.  No cover
   
• Friday, July 1st, 7:00- 9:30 PM: Bye the Willow in Chippewa Falls, WI.  Tickets are $23 and usually sell out in advance on Event Brite.

How to Find the Best Music For Your Wedding

Everyone wants their wedding day to be spectacular and it's always fun to end the night with some great music and dancing. When it comes to weddings music, you have a few options to choose from.

DJ

Traditional and commonly used - this can be a great option for getting a party going.

Plus Side: Affordability.  DJs tend to be the most affordable option when it comes to music.  There are also often plenty of options to choose from.

Downside: You miss out on the energy that you'd get with live entertainment.  DJs can engage the crowd somewhat, but you'll get a lot more crowd interaction with a Band or Dueling Pianos.

Band

Plus side: The energy that you get from live music is hard to beat.  Live entertainers are also experts at reading a room and keeping the energy up to keep the party going long into the night.

Downside: You miss out on the customizability of a DJ or Dueling Pianos since bands generally don't take requests.

Dueling Pianos

Plus side: Dueling Pianos gives you the best of both worlds - the customizability of a DJ with the energy of a live band!  We keep the party going and pay people's requests so there's a little something for everyone.  And when you book with Rock It Man Entertainment, we can add drums, bass, or electric guitar to give you a dueling piano show with a band feel.  We also include 2 hours of complementary DJ and Emcee services with all of our packages.

Downside: Tends to be a little more expensive than DJs, but at the end of the day, you get what you pay for and it all depends on what kind of wedding reception you envision.
