Wedding Partner of the Month: Historic Hope Glen Farm

There are so many great wedding vendors in the Twin Cities and we thought it'd be fun to highlight a new one each month.  And I thought we'd start off with one of our favorites: Historic Hope Glen Farms in Cottage Grove.

Here are just a few things we love about Historic Hope Glen Farms

  1. Beyond.  Gorgeous!  Love the intrinsic beauty of the lush setting as well as the details that have been so carefully crafted into every corner of this lovely venue.  Not to mention, the romantic Treehouse Honeymoon Suite is expected to be completed in June.  It will have a living room with fireplace, full kitchen, romantic bedroom, 4 outdoor decks plus a tower - AND if that isn't enough, a two-person Jacuzzi!  The suite is included with the venue for the bride and groom's wedding night and includes a continental breakfast.
  2. All-in-One Location.  I've always been partial to venues that enable you to have your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception in one place because of how much it simplifies things for everyone involved: your wedding party, your guests and vendors.  No need to print out maps or give people directions or deal with the lag time that always seems unavoidable with multiple locations.  But even more than just ceremony and reception, Hope Glen Farms offers an on-site Honeymoon Suite that will not fail to  impress as well as a breathtaking backdrop for pictures.
  3. Kind and easy-to-work with owners.  We've loved getting to know the owners Michael & Paula Bushilla who take the time to get to know each couple and do their best to cater to what they need.  These two take so much pride in what they do and have created a truly exquisite space to celebrate marriage.

Side Note: I kind of want to re-marry Jon again just so I could have a wedding here!

We Can't Thank You Enough, Moms

It's hard to imagine a world without mothers and all that they sacrifice for their children.  No love quite compares to the ever-reaching, all-encompassing love of a Mom.  And we could say thank you for days to our Moms for all they've done for us - Becki Warnock and Tzong-Huei Li - you are more amazing than you know!

Turns out, we're not the only ones who share this sentiment about our Moms.  We thought it'd be fun to share what the coaches from "The Voice" have to say as well!

Adam Levine at the People's Choice Awards "Thank you mom and dad for making me.  That was cool."

Gwen Stefani on The Ellen Show talks about the craziness that is motherhood

"Everybody knows that 4-8 at night is like chaos. It's like the crazy time in our house. The other day we were driving home and I was thinking, 'Ok Motel 6. If I can just find one and go there and disappear – disappear from my life.' But no, they're incredible."

Usher on becoming a father "Tameka's given me one of the greatest gifts I'll ever have. With a child, now I have a purpose. I understand love. I understand how my mother loves me the way she does."

And Blake Shelton may or may not have been referring to his mother in this song, but I'd like to think it fits pretty well :)

"God gave me you for the ups and downs
God gave me you for the days of doubt"
