Favorite Irish Artists

Happy St Patty's Day!  We hope you're able to go out and celebrate!  Thought it'd be fitting to highlight some of our favorite Irish Artists.

5) Glen Hansard

Irish singer, vocalist and songwriter who broke into the scene with his musical "Once" that brought a great deal of heart and sincerity that still brings me to tears when I watch or listen to this masterpiece.

4) Enya

I still can't listen to Enya without thinking about my middle school ballet classes.  Good times :) Although I wouldn't say Enya is an artist I listen to often, she has certainly carved out her own space and brings a unique feel that no one else really does.

3) Van Morrison

"Brown Eyed Girl" has long been a staple in the dueling scene and for that wonderful classic, we owe a huge thank you to none other than Van Morrison.  He has certainly left his mark with a number of classics, not limited to "Have I Told you Lately", "Moondance" and "Someone Like You"

2) Bono

Bono, or Paul David Hewson, as his given name is famously known as the lead singer of U2.  Born and raised in Dublin and well-known singer, song-writer and philanthropist and granted an honorary knighthood by Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom for "his services to the music industry and for his humanitarian work"

1) U2

Okay, I know maybe it's cheating to count Bono and U2 as separate artists, but they really are so huge they deserve their own bullet point.
